About Emilix Makeup

Hi! I’m Emili, a professional Makeup Artist, creative and multi‑disciplinary artist with a deep passion for beauty, artistry and self‑expression.

Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia from the age of seven, I’ve grown up between two places I love deeply. I still have family back home, but Australia has given me incredible opportunities to grow, evolve, and build a career in the beauty world, a journey I’m endlessly grateful for.

With over eight years of experience working across formals, events, photoshoots, brands, and weddings, my approach to makeup blends technical precision with an intuitive understanding of how to enhance natural beauty in a timeless, elevated way. I specialize in soft glam, full glam, bridal artistry, complexion‑focused makeup, and enhancing mature skin to look radiant, healthy, and youthful. I also have a long‑standing love for SFX and character makeup, which keeps my creativity sharp and ever‑expanding.

My path to becoming a makeup artist has been shaped by curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to personal growth. After finishing high school, I began studying a Bachelor of Nursing, but during COVID I realized that path no longer aligned with the life I wanted to create. I transitioned into the health and fitness space, completing a Diploma in Healthcare, Cert III & IV in Fitness and becoming a Personal Trainer, a chapter that taught me discipline, empathy and the importance of holistic wellbeing. Alongside this, I earned my Diploma in Screen & Media, which opened the door to the creative industry I now call home.

While working as a PT, I accepted a role as a Beauty Advisor at Sephora and that experience reignited a passion I had carried since childhood. Being surrounded by artistry, color, texture and skin reminded me of how deeply I loved makeup, not just as a service but as a form of storytelling. From that moment, everything shifted. I returned to makeup with a renewed sense of purpose, and the rest unfolded naturally.

Creativity is the heartbeat of my life. Beyond makeup, I’m an acrylic painter, a model, and a photographer, allowing me to explore beauty from multiple perspectives. These creative outlets influence my makeup artistry, giving me a refined eye for color theory, composition, and the subtle details that elevate a look from beautiful to unforgettable.

At home, I’m a proud fur‑mum to my two little companions: Moon, my sweet cat, and Atlas, my gentle dog. They bring so much joy to my life, and if you ever visit my home studio, you may be lucky enough to meet them. I’m also someone who loves the gym, beauty and skincare, eating well, taking care of myself, and yes, I have a soft spot for Red Bull.

My work is driven by connection, creativity, and the desire to make every client feel seen, confident, and celebrated. Whether I’m painting on canvas, behind the camera, modelling, or creating a makeup look, my intention is always the same: to bring artistry, intention, and a touch of luxury into everything I do.
